Olivia Giovetti is a freelance writer and opera consultant currently somewhere between Los Angeles and New York.
Her travel writing has appeared in such outlets as the Washington Post, Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel, Draft Magazine, and Paper Mag.  She specializes
in European travel as well as the Pacific Coast and North Eastern United States.  She particularly loves any travel that allows her to embrace her
foodie/sommelier roots.  Online, she's a regular at Vagabondish.com, the Matador Travel Network, and EuroCheapo.com's blog.  Click above for clips.
Making her two careers coalesce, Olivia has also covered arts and culture for Classical Singer, Classic FM Magazine, Playbill, and 5280.  Her travel
writing also often includes a cultural component.  While she can devote a good three paragraphs to
Bionade, her quest for the perfect French onion
soup, or the trials of being a foodie with nearly a dozen food allergies, she can devote a good three pages to a Prague production of
La Clemenza di Tito
or the lobby of the Tate Modern in London.  Click above for clips.
A former employee of New York City Opera and the Classical Opera Company, Olivia also consults on a freelance basis for large and small opera
companies.  A graduate of the City University of New York with a degree in Culture and Communications, her thesis ("Mass Culture Mozart") centered
around Generation X and Generation Y audience cultivation for American opera companies.  Click above for more info.
She also does Bar Mitzvahs.
